About TerraKore

TerraKore is a gateway into aviation.

The field is wider than most people realize — far beyond airline pilots and helicopter rescue crews. There are dozens of paths into the sky and nearly as many on the ground that keep aircraft moving. Most exist in their own silos: flight schools recruit future students, regulators publish rulebooks, professional associations talk to insiders. There's no obvious starting point for someone curious about aviation as a career, as a hobby, or somewhere in between.

That's what we cover here. Three groups in particular:

  • Pilot careers — flying for a living, across about a dozen distinct paths
  • Recreational flying — for the love of it, from sport pilot to vintage aircraft
  • Ground and operations roles — the dispatchers, mechanics, controllers, and crews who keep the system running

For each, we explain the shape of the role, what training looks like, and where to go next. We link out to authoritative sources — the FAA, schools, professional organizations — for specifics like hours and cost, rather than try to be the source ourselves.

A few things TerraKore is not:

  • Not a flight school, and we don't sell training.
  • Not a recruiter, and we don't take placement fees.
  • Not affiliated with any airline, manufacturer, or government body.

If you're orienting yourself for the first time, start with Your Aviation Journey. If you already know what you want and need the lay of the land, Careers is the map.
